9th Oct 2026 (23 days ago)I cannot recommend this rental. They show no respect for tenants. Our confirmed move?in date was suddenly delayed. While the house appeared clean on the surface, it was very dirty internally, and they refused to fix pre?move?in defects. Countless emails and phone calls brought no meaningful resolution. Old and broken appliances, poor hygiene, and highly unprofessional customer service.

12th Oct 2026 (20 days ago)Definitely the best letting agency we have ever had!<br>We spent 3 wonderful years in our flat and would like to say a huge thank you to Kate, Jordan and the entire Cedar team.<br><br>Throughout our tenancy, whenever we needed any repairs or maintenance, Kate always responded quickly and arranged everything without any hassle.<br><br>During our second year, we had an issue with the dishwasher. They arranged a visit straight away and, as the dishwasher was quite old, quickly decided to replace it with a brand-new one. They also offered us a much better sofa they had available when the original one was getting quite old, which we really appreciated and enjoyed!<br>The whole team was always helpful, responsive and happy to assist with anything we needed.<br>We always felt very well looked after as tenants.<br><br>Towards the end of our tenancy, they also went out of their way to help find a new tenant quickly so that we could move out earlier than planned. They didn’t have to do this, so we really appreciated their help and flexibility.<br><br>If we ever move back to the West Hampstead/Kilburn area, Cedar will definitely be the first agency we contact. We would happily recommend them to anyone looking to rent in the area.<br><br>Thank you so much, Kate, Jordan and the whole Cedar team, for looking after us so well over the past 3 years! ??
7th Jul 2026 (17 weeks ago)I had a very disappointing experience when contacting this agency to arrange a viewing.<br><br>At first, I explained that the property would be for me and my baby. The member of staff placed me on hold, and after waiting, the call ended. I called back and the same thing happened again. This occurred around three times, which I found very frustrating and unprofessional.<br><br>When I eventually explained that the property would be for myself, my partner, and our baby, I was told that the property would be too small for the three of us. I felt that I was given repeated excuses rather than a clear and helpful explanation.<br><br>I understand that not every property will be suitable for every applicant, but I believe customers should still be treated with respect, listened to, and given professional communication. Unfortunately, my experience with this agency did not feel professional or welcoming.

We were desperate to get everything completed quickly and move into the flat on time, and Hanan was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process.<br><br>She went above and beyond to help us, was always supportive and responsive, and did everything she could to make sure we got the flat on time. We truly appreciate all her hard work and would highly recommend Hanan to anyone looking to rent a property.
22nd Oct 2026 (10 days ago)Never leave bad google reviews but I feel very let down by Portico as a tenant. It’s taken over 2 months to get our 2.5k deposit back after moving out in August.<br><br>Portico tried to pressure us to use a deposit subscription scheme instead of a normal government protected deposit despite stating several times we didn’t want to. In a highly competitive market, we were told the landlord would favour the former and it may jeopardise our chances of being accepted, even though it would mean we don’t get our money back back.

From arranging and attending the viewing through to contract signing, he was incredibly helpful, responsive, and professional.<br><br>He was always quick to answer our questions and kept us informed at every stage, which made the whole process feel smooth and straightforward. We really appreciated his support and would happily recommend him, and the whole agency to anyone looking to rent a property!

She goes above and beyond with her services and was truly invested in helping us find somewhere to live. Seriously - finding a flat to rent in London is hellish but she was amazingly dedicated to our cause. Sadly, because of issues beyond our control, we couldn't rent with Knight Frank. But I am confident that we were insanely lucky to have Sophie by our side supporting us. If you happen to be in contact with Knight Frank, don't hesitate and ask for Sophie's help!

Of course, the market was a factor, but the advice increasingly seemed to be simply to reduce the price. We eventually decided it was time for a change.<br><br>From our first conversations, Goldschmidt felt completely different. There was no hard sell, just honest, considered advice and a level of knowledge and professionalism that genuinely stood out. I’ll admit I was slightly sceptical at first, but the difference quickly became apparent: their understanding of the local area and market, the way they approach viewings and prospective buyers, their sales strategy and, importantly, their communication throughout the process were all on another level.<br><br>They ultimately looked after both our sale and our onward purchase, and I really couldn’t fault the experience. Richard leads a fantastic team and everyone has been exceptional; Anthony, Daniel and Raphael all looked after us impeccably from start to finish.<br><br>Having dealt with a number of estate agents over the years, I can honestly say Goldschmidt stands out. Professional, knowledgeable, straightforward and genuinely good people to deal with.<br><br>I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to sell or buy in the area.

If I'm honest, I was not expecting the quality of service I got, because the flat I was selling is a relatively low-value property; I figured the team would save their energy for homes nearer the top end of the market, but they absolutely did not. Initially I got a realistic idea of likely selling price from Charlie, who was both helpful and knowledgeable (he clearly knew my market segment). Senan did the first viewing ... and then I started to worry if I'd made the right decision about my agent because then Richard brought someone round, and then Pierce - where was the consistency, and how would this impact my customer service? Turns out I was completely wrong in my assumptions: all three members of the sales team gave me nothing but excellent support, and they also kept in touch with each other about what progress was being made so service was seamless whoever I spoke to. Once I had an offer, they were brilliant liaising with the buyer; and - critically - they gave me timely and well-placed advice to ensure that I could move things along as quickly as possible at my end when other organisations were causing delays. Not only did I get first-class service but the whole team are as friendly a bunch as you could wish for. I recommend them wholeheartedly (I never thought I would ever say that about an estate agent!) and would choose them again every time.

It's been 3 weeks since I have moved in and we are still figuring out basic home fixes that should have already been considered prior to my starting date. It is easier to find Donald Trump rather than one of their agents. Stay away
