If they can’t be bothered to return a simple enquiry, it speaks volumes about how this branch operates and suggests a lack of professionalism across the company as a whole. Poor service all around

Even though we haven’t put an offer in yet, the service we’ve received has been very respectable and professional throughout. The team have been welcoming, responsive, and genuinely helpful without any pressure. A special mention to Teddy, who has been excellent. His communication, honesty, and willingness to assist have really stood out and made the experience feel smooth and reassuring. Based on our experience so far, we would definitely look to use Quilliam Estate Agents in the future when finding our property.

They also have an impressive network of potential buyers, which proved valuable in reaching the right audience, particularly in a challenging market, where they succeeded in securing the sale of our maisonette. I’d especially like to highlight Danielle, whose efforts in the final stages were outstanding. She went above and beyond to help close the sale, proactively following up with our lawyers, keeping everything moving, and even assisting with practical details like recommending cleaning services. Her focus and determination at that point made a real difference in getting the deal across the line. Giles was also very helpful throughout, offering thoughtful advice and feedback on our property, as well as sharing valuable connections and insight into the Notting Hill market. Overall, a professional and well-connected team with a particularly strong understanding of the Notting Hill area.

19th May 2022 (3 years ago)We’re first time buyers and John D Wood were selling the home we were buying. We were shown our new home by George who was lovely. Julian in the team managed everything else, and the man is a saint. I was stressed to say the least between work and trying to buy a house in a short timeframe. No matter how testy I got, he was patient, friendly and supportive. I can’t speak highly enough of Julian, and when we eventually sell in the future he’ll be the first person we go to. Julian thank you so much for your amazing service.

Sheetal Suri did the initial valuation and was very polite and informative about the market and how shaw and co would handle the process if we did choose them. Having met a few other estate agents I was convinced that this firm would be the best to go with. We landed an offer within a couple of viewings and from offer accepted to completion Jindra Lall was at hand. She was always assisting us and enabled us the close the transaction quickly. We are really pleased with our whole experience of dealing with shaw and co and would not hesitate to recommend them for any sales.

18th Feb 2026 (11 weeks ago)Great estate agents , Always sorted any little problems out as soon as possible can’t fault them for the way they conduct themselves and run the business . But only negatives and why it’s not 5 starts Is because they deducted £100 from me for the £200 deep clean, which I spent hours on end and spent about £30 on cleaning equipment getting the place nearly spotless so not sure why they paid £200 for a deep clean when there was only about 30 mins worth of cleaning to be done there was abit of dust on top of a door and extractor fan needed cleaning, I’m sure they could have got someone just to go clean them things instead of paying for deep clean . But it is what it is ,most estate agents do that these days probably so they can show the new tenants it got deep cleaned by professionals ,just seems abit harsh on tenants who leave it in good nick because what’s the point spending all the hours I did leaving it clean if going to get billed for deep clean anyway ? . I agreed to the deduction as overall they’ve been good agents so I don’t want to dispute over £100 and then have to wait ages for deposit .<br>My flat was down an alley way and the restaurants and bin men would leave it a right mess , when I asked John at the start if someone could clean it he said it’s not their problem that bit as don’t own the pathway . I get it’s not there problem as they don’t own the alley way but you’d think if you had flats there you would pay someone to go every 2 weeeks or so to tidy up . So I had to tidy it up a few times myself which I didn’t want to do but had no choice .<br>The flat was excellent and the cheapest on the market for that size imo but the alley way definitely ruined it because it was embarrassing sometimes to get friends around walking through loads of rubbish to get to flat

31st May 2024 (1 year ago)I had the worst experience of my life with them and Featherstone Leigh , my son has a permanent asthma and breathing issue from the flat they have rented me. I was not able to stay in the flat for over two months , no alternative was offered to me and my family, being homeless due to the smell of damp, water leak has costed me a lot of money and stress. Useless team all they care about is their rent it be paid , they have breached their contract on so many occasions, they failed . Do not get fooled by those good reviews!
1st Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)We’ve just sold a 3 bed penthouse at 500 Chiswick Road. Lewin initially got us hooked in with proactive advice, which got us listing with KF exclusively. Fabienne took over and partnered with us for almost 18 months. Without her help, the sale wouldn’t have happened. Fabienne is a rare find and the whole package: if you were to list your ideal agent, you’d find Fabienne ticks all the boxes. Having spent yrs headhunting talent, I can assert with confidence that she’s got it. Values, humour (and did we need it!), she’s indefatigable, with razor sharp intelligence, she’s thorough, responsible for forging through sizeable roadblocks…I could go on forever. If we ever sell our family home, it wouldn’t occur to us to look elsewhere. In a congested market, she’s head and shoulders above the rest I've ever met.

It was great to see from the other side how they really do know their onions. Viewings were carefully vetted and the respect shown to both us, our home and our time was really appreciated. We sold within a few viewings and we believe only an independent estate agent can deliver such a personal and non invasive service. Also a joy that calls are dealt with quickly and if not available messages are passed on. It is clear to see why they sell the most houses in Chiswick.In short wholeheartedly recommend.

22nd Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)I do not think Davenports even deserve a 1 star to be honest. - Terrible communication - Last minute cancellations MULTIPLE times because "the rugby was on" (kick off was at 3pm and viewing was at 10am). The rugby had little to no impact early in the morning. - They then sent a junior who just started who knew nothing about the house or why its for sale. He had 2 months experience. - Tardy and very lacking attitude to their customers. I'm a sales director myself, I would never let my staff run a business like this. Shocking to say the least
