Their knowledge of the local market was impressive, and they made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and well-managed. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and dedicated estate agent in Didsbury!

10th Nov 2025 (7 mo. ago)Avoid Hills Estate Agency at All Costs!! I have spent the past year being over-promised and massively under-delivered by Hills. The experience has been nothing short of a disaster. There has been a complete failure in communication from start to finish. I was repeatedly given “estimated completion dates” that never materialised, followed by weeks even over a month of no contact whatsoever. Because of their poor advice, I am now over £2,000 out of pocket. The unprofessionalism is staggering. Staff openly discussed the seller’s personal finances, telling me the seller “had no money” and describing them as “an absolute nightmare customer.” Imagine paying Hills thousands of pounds to sell your property, only for them to bad-mouth you to the buyer. Completely unacceptable. Given this behaviour, it’s no surprise there are so many negative reviews online. I submitted a formal complaint and received a response from Charlotte today no empathy, no apology. If this is how a director behaves, it’s clear why the rest of the staff follow suit. If you value your time, your money and your sanity, avoid Hills like the plague!! Useless!!- 22nd May 2026 (21 days ago)I am a few weeks from completion and Mark and his team have been superb! I needed a quick sale and Reeds Rain delivered, every email is answered immediately, nothing is too much for the team. Highly recommend Reeds Rain.

They were professional, responsive, genuinely helpful throughout our experience and nothing was too much trouble. They were knowledgeable about the local housing market, thorough in every step, and approachable—always willing to answer questions and explain things clearly. After working with them, we would have no hesitation in using them again, in fact we would not go anywhere else! 6th Jun 2026 (6 days ago)I started off selling my property with Purplebricks and had a terrible experience (the worst customer service I've experienced in my life), I ended up in a position where I had found my dream house and was on the edge of losing it due to the incompetence of Purplebricks. However, Sharon Prestwood and the team at Cousins stepped in and they were fantastic. In less than a week they had my house back on the market and I had 3 solid offers the first day it was on the market. They did absolutely amazing, and I really cannot thank them enough for all their hard work. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Buying a house can be incredibly stressful, especially with a long chain involved, but Julie was proactive, supportive, and always kept things moving. Her communication, persistence, and coordination made a huge difference and genuinely helped get the purchase over the line. The wider team were also professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the process. Thank you again to Julie and the team for all of your hard work. We really appreciate it and would highly recommend Gascoigne Halman.

28th May 2026 (15 days ago)Katie Craddock was brilliant! She is always on hand to answer any questions and as first time buyers we felt this is vital to a smooth purchase. By far the best experience we’ve had with an estate agents when looking for our first home. Katie showed us round the house we eventually placed an offer on. She gave us every piece of information we requested when we requested it whilst also taking the time to ask about our situation. Katie did such a great job and we will be recommending Edward Mellor to all our friends who are looking for their first homes.

During all this time they were extremely helpful and replayed to my emails really quick, when needed. The process to rent the property was easy and smooth and they were really helpful when leaving the property sorting all the things out. I would recommend this agency to anyone wish to rent a property in Manchester area, as they are probably the best ones in Manchester. Thank you for your support during the last 7 years. Oscar.
