One star is not low enough for this sham of an Estate Agents. We didn't know what time and where to pick up our keys ON THE DAY of our move in date. They then tried to charge us for inventory check which they weren't providing. The landlord called me in panic later that evening as he had received emails threatening that we would not move in if he did not sign contracts he had already signed months before, despite the fact that we had already moved in. Their communication lacks even that of human decency let alone someone dealing with your future home. Estate Agents are known for being spawn of the devil but these guys are a new breed.
I had spent some time - before deciding to sell with KFH - trying to sell my property with another estate agent in Wimbledon. They were much cheaper but - in the end - full of hot air and completely useless. By complete contrast; Lucy and Linda, from the get go, were excellent. I gave them the property, there were viewings immediately and an offer within a week. The process, as ever, wasn't completely straight forward but they were always available to talk on the phone, very receptive on email and completely on top of things at all times. When we come back to the area we'll be straight back to KFH. Highly recommend
Poor service and rude.
It might be a seller's market, but Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward seem to treat buyers with contempt. A general level of poor service from their agent and unhelpful responses to basic enquiries about the property, made viewing a couple of flats a frustrating experience.
Excellent customer service from both Antony and Angelo in the sales team and Adean and Natalie in the rent team! They were all efficient, professional and very friendly - Brilliant teamwork!
Nathalie Navasothy is by far the worst person I have ever dealt with in estate agency! Everything she has said/done has been wrong from the start.
1.) Breaching data protection, by adding my flat mate into our email conversation which had my banks statements on!!!
2.) Saying the flat was fully furnished, which it wasn't.
3.) Getting the offer wrong on the offer form
4.) The old tenants are moving out on the Friday, so we can move in first thing on Saturday, that was wrong! Tenants are moving out on the Saturday so we have to wait.
Being the assistant manager, you think she could provide a better service, I would seriously avoid.
Super efficient,sorted me out quickly and were very professional. I worked with Caitlin who was very friendly and keen to make sure me and my family's needs were met. Would recommend.
From tenant perspective - worse than an average agency in London, which actually needs some effort to achieve, although any agent will treat you like garbage once (or even before) they get the money. Incompetent, not caring, rude. For the money they charge it should have been unacceptable, but it is a standard. Do not expect anything - in fact expect them to make your rental troublesome and gruelling. Avoid at all cost - please, please - they don't guarantee you anything and will wash their hand off clean on first sign of trouble. Especially when the money changed hands. Tenants beware - I cannot stress this enough - they can't even provide a working monoxide detector for weeks after we moved in. The inspectors are rude and make you feel like a beggar. They allow landlords to ignore tenants completely in properties they manage. They don't care about anything but their own good. You have been warned.
We recently sold our terraced house in Longfield Street through Maddie Miller (The Manager of the Office) at Douglas & Gordon. She was very impressive at all stages, including the valuation at the start. However, for reasons that didn't turn out to be valid, we appointed another agent in Southfields for a month and they produced no buyer and kept saying it was overvalued even though they had agreed the sale price with us in the first place. As soon as we appointed D & G things started to move, and before they could even produce the details for distribution in less than a week they had found a buyer who not only came up with the asking price, but went above to get the house off the market for a limited time. Sensibly Maddie had spread the property to the Putney office of D & G and it was by this means that the buyer was found. When Maddie had a week's holiday during the sale's progress, we were looked after well by Isabella Vevers. Before I retired I was the Head of two London estate agent offices (part of a highly respected Company), and I can honestly say Maddie and her office could not be faulted.
I used D&G to sell my house in probably the most difficult market in decades. They sold my house where three other agents failed and did a great job. Nick (my main contact) was always communicative and available to speak to me even just to calm my nerves. Jack (another agent in the office who would help me when Nick wasn't around) was always friendly and helped where he could. He always knew who I was and did his best to sort out my issues/worries/requests. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The sale was smooth and easy and I put this mostly down to Nick who was not only dedicated to the negotiations but was constantly available and proactive throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend them.
Sophie Hardy was a pleasure to deal with. She was nothing short of excellent. One of the best estate agents I've dealt with. Following the offer she still checked in regularly to push both sides along and ensure everything could be done to ensure a smooth sale.
Quiet a Shocking experience with KFH! They are supposed to be a large professional block management company yet they can not answer simple emails!! After months and still chasing them regarding service charges that have already been paid, they cannot locate payments!! Yet they want to charge you late payment fees for there own admin errors. Also repeatedly been sent an incorrect invoice with inaccurate charges. A Brand New development and they cannot fix mistakes they have made. They have very useless staff, poor communication and very frustrated landlords. Just Disgraceful!
