We approached Bonds and they placed tenants within 7 days of the property being available, and our current tenants have been with us for 3 years with zero trouble. Very poor communication quality and speed. Not a lot of details were shared nor the young agent whom dealt with me seemed had no clue. They do have lovely properties and I felt very much let down by them. So unfortunate.

I rented a 2 bedroom end of terrace through them for 2 years paying £29k in rent. It was just me and a small dog. Generally ok, except extremely slow to get problems remedied. The main issues came at the end of the tenancy. The deposit was £1690 and they have attempted to claim £1500 of this for dilapidations. £300 for redecoration, when it is normal wear and tear, no pictures hung no damage caused. £500 to sand and revarnish the wooden back door, when you can buy a brand new one for less than that. £450 to repair a cracked slate hearth, when you can buy these for £100 brand new and it was not fitted properly with no support or adhesive beneath. £450 for cleaning, when cleaners cost £12 per hr and its a small house and it was just me. Truly shocking practice, they seem to have some tied company that produces excessive quotes and they make no attempt to find cheaper alternatives. Now having to raise a dispute with the TDS scheme, but depends on these guys agreeing to it else I will have to raise a court claim. Didn't think this kind of sharp practice existed any more, but clearly it does with these guys. Be careful.
