Was moved into a house with a rotten back door jammed shut and rotted door frame with no key for the door ,also most of the windows did not shut and the glass literally did not fit my bedroom window leaving air to blow through ,the house was filthy old food still in oven and moldy stuff in the kitchen cupboards was very keen to get me in the house as "else was coming to view the house " even though I had already viewed the house and completed my application ,when I viewed the house I was told that all repairs were being made and they were getting the house ready but nothing seemed to have changed , I asked if someone could come to look at the work which they did with no notice no time or day just an unexpected knock on the door a few days after , all in all not very impressed UPDATE 6 MONTHS ON AND HOUSE STILL IN DISREPAIR PROBLEMS HAVE NOT BEEN RESOLVED... The tenants have been great too. I've had a great relationship with Andrew, I can vouch for his passion to make sure you feel like he wants to do whats best for you. As a first time private landlord, I've needed assistance to help with letting our property. Andrew was great in easing my mind and got some great tenants in the property immediately. The tenants have been great too. The problems we've had are more with the ongoing procedure, no explanation what they are doing as a firm to explain how they are following up on missed payments and providing a pro-active response to explain what the issue may have been. We were also charged a commission of 12% when the agreement stated 10%, which could be charged on many other unsuspecting landlords. When charged fees, we've been told to refer to documentation signed a year ago to the list of fees explained on there when there is a requirement to ensure fees are clearly listed on the website - they are not clear, they are under a link under "Contact". We've also experienced abrupt communication when trying to obtain a key for our property too - which we found very unnecessary. Late transfers of rental income too without explanation when the tenants have paid on time - we had to ask and the admin assistant explained that the accountant was on annual leave, a heads up would've been appreciated. I've had a great relationship with Andrew, I can vouch for his passion to make sure you feel like he wants to do whats best for you, however the communication once the contract is signed is poor, and private landlords need to consider whether you want that hassle or you'd rather have a firm working proactively for you and being clear with fees, where your rental income is and what they can do to help you ....
