Would not release the keys to us without leaving a review on Google as part of "process" would not clarify that they were with holding the keys from us but wouldn't let us sign without leaving a review.
Could do with clearer communication, the appointment is to fill out paperwork and maybe a viewing. Getting a place depends entirely on what is available that day and can be highly dependant on whether you have a guarantor.
In our case the paper work was almost entirely done in one day the place was cleaned the following day and we signed for the keys on the third. There was pressure to place more (4 more weeks) than the advertised 5 weeks rent up front as our guarantor did not have an income exceeding or equal to 37k. The staff themselves about very pushy leaving reviews. Would be good for the clients to have a checklist of what's needed or what's happening.

They told me via call i can check in with £350 to a room but when I come they forced me to pay them £1878 for three month and two weeks.they even did not pay my landlord until he argued with them then they pay him two month and the agency took the rest of my money.
Don't pay upfront or deposit to this agency,you are going to lose it and they will not pay you back your hard working money until they get forced by police or other organisations,easily they took my money and they did try to encourage the landlord to evict me because that was the easiest way to not return my money.they will pay the price

I rang up this company to see if there was any properties available to let for a friend. Instantly after saying hello the male on the other end said “let me put you on hold a sec”. I have been put on hold currently for 20 minutes. I went in for an interview yesterday and whilst I was sat there I saw the receptionist answer calls and put them on hold because other calls were coming through? it is very rude and very unprofessional. I’ll finish this review with how long it took for them to answer.
Currently at 30 minutes and they put the phone down on me. Ringing back as i type. No answer. Trying again. Male answered and put me instantly on hold again I couldn’t even decline the motion.
Ive just been told that i’ve been on hold because they were trying to get in touch with the homes department to find out about any available properties but they didn’t mention that when i rang and they instantly put me on hold? but they couldnt get in touch so they’re going to ring me back when they do? didn’t ask for my number only for my name. The whole ordeal has been an absolute joke I don’t understand what on earth is going on surely they’d know what properties are available considering they are the private letting agency but what do i know. Joke of a company.

Pure scam, tried these only to be messed about. Had to wait 1 hour for my "paperwork" to be generated then told to sit down again. Totally unprofessional they just leave you to sit and wait never getting anything done. The Asian Lad is rude very unprofessional. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!! I've reported them to council to have their license to operate revoked

Very bad experience the second I walked through the door.
My appointment was set for 12:30

Did not get seen until 13:30
Anyway I got called
Says on website DSS and no deposit but he proceeded to ask me if I have over 1000 saved up to move in.
And got told with my income I'd struggle and he was speaking very loudly.

I recently came across an ad on Gumtree and decided to reach out. After providing my number, I received a call to schedule an appointment for last Monday. Upon arriving at the office, I was asked to fill out a form, only to then be left waiting without any explanation. The lack of communication and professionalism was disappointing. Additionally, witnessing another individual being ignored when requesting their deposit back was concerning. Overall, my experience left much to be desired in terms of customer service and transparency.

“Started this month and good process so far” >
the above statement was my review when I was made to leave a review the day I was picking up the keys to the property.
I wish I could go back in that moment, and not signed the agreement. I signed for 6-month contract and paid 4 months in advance rent payments. Having been in the property for 2 months, I’ve requested to end the agreement and to my shock I was offered 1 payment off (from the 6 contract payments) and to vacate the property within the week (so having lived in the property for 2.5 months only) - absolutely disgusted by that offer.
The reason for me requesting to leave the property is unfit living conditions - boiler problems causing no heating and no hot water. Out of my 1st 3 months, I’ve had maybe 30 days of problem free living. Apart from that, every 2/3 days the boiler becomes an issue. As of right now, the boiler is not working.
I have been trying to get an engineer to visit since 21 June and today is 28 July - still now luck.
On top of it, there are other issues such as no bedroom locks, no bathroom locks and again I’m not allowed to do any of this without their permission. It’s been 3 months like this and I still have to complete the 6-month contract with them.
I am looking for tenant support and council complain options and preparing for formal complaint to the local council.
Cannot honestly recommend to anyone after these experiences.

It was horrible and a bitter experience. Guys don't ever rent from this pple. They are tricky, cheat most especially Khasif. They offer bad house service to what they charge. If u have had any tenancy agreement with them pls go back to recheck with what is writing in there and don't ever follow what they tell u with mouth. My £1863 stuck with them. A three month rent by following word of mouth.

Absolute con artists preying on people in need. They take your fees then when you view a property there are loads of others viewing that property in the same boat as you, all wanting the property. How they choose who gets it I don't know. They will lead to you beleive that once you pay the the fee you are guaranteed a property, this is however not the case at all. I have no idea how they are still in business nor how what they do is even legal. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Hi I have Altuism and was conned by mr ibriham, I will be taking him to the news papers and I WILL make sure people find out the con man he is! I haven’t forgot about the £4000 this man took from me! They are also known for ripping people off and harassing young girls!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Don't work for them too. Unless you want to live in a dump that's falling down don't use them!! Dirty scumbags need closing down!!!

Paid upfront half deposit, paid rest later. Process was a little bit delayed but service was good. Not the best but in the end we finally got things done. Not as of yet received keys but hopefully by today we will be moving into our new home. I would recommend homes2let if you are patient and not eager to move in straight away

I went to the homes2let offices on Tuesday, it was extremely busy and I was worried I’d be waiting a while as I was adviced up to an hour on the phone, after reading the Google reviews about this place I was hesitant to make an appointment however upon arrival I was handed an application form which was checked and processed within 40 minutes. The gentleman on reception (Kash) was extremely informative and was very sincere in helping me find accommodation. Unfortunately there was not a property to my liking never the less I was extremely pleased with the service provided and would highly recommend.

This company is a JOKE!!! They show you a house then tell you if you pay 4 months upfront today then the house is yours!! £2500 was dropped off to them instantly to secure the house.. back and forth for meetings and interviews , then to be told “we are working on your file” feel like they have robbed the cash!!
Everytime we call now , they keep just asking for a phone number and they will call back! DO NOT GIVE THESE GUYS ANY CASH!! Legal team will be getting in contact with this joke if a estate agents now

Absolutely appalling. They decided that I was t going to survive a few broken bones so when I was in hospital they served an abandonment notice on the property and dumped all my stuff outside. Hate to break it to you but I’ve survived. Not to mention all the issues with the property itself

I had read reviews about Homes2let, some were really complementary and others were not so, to put it politely. So, as it was close, I thought I'd go and see for myself. There was just one person in the reception, which by the way, bears absolutely no actual resemblance whatsoever, to the picture on their website; although, if you scroll down, there is a picture of the shop from the outside. This is always a good indication of whether a business is honest or not. If they cannot post an actual picture of their office, that is a very bad start.
I said hello to the man behind the desk, and he started to say, that they had nothing available, before I had told him what I was looking for. Then, reluctantly he started to take my details. I must have told him my phone number 4 or 5 times, and even then, I don't think he put it down correctly, with all the alterations. How hard is it to write down a stream of numbers? I said him, "I want you to find me accommodation, but you can't even write my phone number down!" He blamed me and said that “I wasn't saying it right”. No... you were not listening to me and thought you knew better than me. Not a good start!
By this time, I had lost all interest in having them finding me anything, as I wouldn't trust them to find me a flat pack 'bird cage', so I left a bit quicker than I had entered. There is only one 'type' of person they are interested in, and my hue, didn't fit their criteria. Someone else inferred this in a previous review, and they were correct. Anyway, don't take my word for it, you might 'fit the bill', only one way to find out.

AVOID!! I called them over the phone to register interest in a house and I was told to meet them at their office to fill out a form and then we would go see the house. My partner and I were left waiting in a practically empty waiting room for over 2 hours before they tried to gaslight me by saying "no one said you could see the house". Not only that, but the advertisement online was £90ish less than on the piece of paper they gave me and when I brought this up they said that it was a typo on Zoopla's account, despite the listing and description saying "discounted from (price)", how is that a typo? They tried to scam my partner and I from thousands a year and messed us around. Also their in person review book has no reviews from the past few years, seems like they went downhill recently and mess their customers about.

Don't respond when repairs need fixing, laughed over the phone at my partner when she was crying asking for repairs to be done, tried to change the move in date so they could scrape another weeks rent on top even though we had clear evidence. Accused me of still living there after 6 months and accused me of not paying tax of up to £1300.
They WILL treat the people who struggle a little more than normal disgustingly, they will treat people with mental health like dirt, the office in hanley, every single staff member are genuine dirty scumbags.

I called about a house listed in my area and was told i had a viewing booked for the following day. I arrived at the property but no one showed. When i called them, they told me to visit the office in Hanley. After arriving, 2 other customers were already waiting. No one tended either of us for over an hour while both receptionists messed around. Other staff did not take notices of the customers.
After waiting over an hour to be seen, i was not seen by a housing agent but the receptionist, who told me the property listed i had asked about was gone. Who then handed me a piece of paper with unacceptable properties knowing full well i am homeless with children.
No one or their listing had stated about a guarantor being required until we had out meeting lasting only 2 minutes.
Complete waste of time, not helpful and i would not recommend this service to anyone looking for a home.

This company is terrible. They lie to you and prey on people in VULNERABLE and desperate situations. They say you need to pay advance and say its non refundable and when you sign up for it, they say you need to pay another month's rent up front too. The place they offered is a complete dump.
There were rats in there that we had to get rid of. The front door lock doesn't work. The boiler stopped working in winter and there were leaks in the ceilings and windows so when it rained heavy, there would be puddles all in the house.
They never respond to calls to get the repairs done but are very fast to call the day before rent is due to make sure money is paid.
I have been with several estate agents and this 1 is by far the worst!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

This place gave me all the wrong information. The man who does the interviews was blunt and rude. The staff failed to explain the process and didnt go over my paperwork properly. They then gave me false hope paid a months rent to then be declined for the property due to an issue with the paperwork. The only delightful thing i experienced here was the viewing, staff member paul was down to earth and lovely besides that everything i experienced was poor.

UPDATE - previous tenant left gas in debt. This needs to be known before you get a property as they told me I have to wait a WEEK for an EMAIL from them to prove I got my keys on the said date and wasn’t myself that made that debt. I could not have gas until this was sorted and had to battle them to get this email. A week with no gas and they where going to be happy leaving me like that.
I understand you are busy, but it’s not the clients fault you may take on too much. Things in the house need to be done and I’m nervous to even speak to them about it as I don’t think it would get sorted and it just keeps making me out to be a horrible person.

I initially emailed regarding a property I had seen online and requested they contact me back. They did very quickly and arranged a date for me to go and view one of the available properties I was interested in. Very polite and professional staff at the office. I was really desperate to move and they really worked on helping me at speed. I’m very happy with service I got and would recommend them very highly.

This company is a disgrace I moved into a 4 bedroom property with a considerable amount of maintenance that needs completing. I have reported this endless times and still nothing has been done. I am paying alot for the rent here and the house is not intact. I have been here 5 months now and only moved in out of desperation I really hope I don't have to renew my tenency and can move out ASAP. Avoid this company as much as possible

Absolutely awful outfit. My daughter was without any form of heating and power for days. No facilty to cook or shower. She's still waiting for replacement oven after 3weeks. Absolutely terrible performance and behaviours; avoid like the plague. Really.

I would avoid after working for this company I had my placement terminated because I was ill. They also have not paid me for the work I did. Yes it says in contract that have the right to withhold payment for 1 month however they owe me my 2 weeks sick pay

Complete shambles and a rip off. Happy to accept cash in hand at their shop and then fail you at every step. Trading standards have a file against them still! Definitely a dodgy shop that will only ruin your move.

They showed me a creepy, scummy property that I wouldn't let a stray dog stay in. The agent couldn't answer any of my questions about the property, and just kept saying "It's dead nice, I'd live here" over and over again. The agent didn't say anything the entire ride to and from the property and only asked when we got back to the office if I would take it. It seemed to have "scam" written all over it, and after all the things I've heard about this company after the fact, I'm really glad I didn't give them any money

These are con men. Don't hand over any money. Don't believe a word. In fact just never go in. This man stole from my grandchildren two weeks before Christmas. If there were a zero star I would have chose that as this company isn't rated at all. Why they haven't been investigated yet is a mystery.

Thay took 250 pound and guaranteed me a house thay said I failed points and never give me my money so I wen went up and Sam on the desk I asked her to get the manager give me loads of abuse she got him and he called the police there a rip off is a scam

It's a scam, don't hand over the cash (they won't let you pay by card) they will ask you for after showing you the property. Nobody passes the checks, including me and I passed with another agency a week later on a property costing twice the amount.
