I called these guys to discuss their product on behalf of my mum. I don't think it's for us but I was impressed that they were so clear and factual about what they were offering. If you expect them to be a social charity to give you free money to buy a lovely house you will be very disappoinred but if you approach this on the basis that you are dealing with a for-profit business, it will make a lot of sense for some people to get the home they want and more importantly security to live there long term. Even though this isn't for us, I wouldn't give it 1 star as some have because they are pretty up front about what they offer. I suspect people who have left very low review scores approached this service with unrealistic expectations.

From the initial phone call making enquiries on Homewise, the information given to us in a way which we understood. There was no pressure put opon us and staff made sure we understood the legal aspect.
The team that help us forward with viewings were exceptional, very supportive and understanding when things didnt go to plan, always there at the end of telephone or e-mail.

As a 60 year old couple with no inheritance concerns we thought this an ideal way to release capital for our retirement. However, being 'young' meant we were only entitled to the lowest equity release rate. Only after much questioning did we find out that for a measly £39,000 Homewise would end up with a house purchased for £300,000 not taking into account any rises in the property market! A £260,000 present for them!!

I`m not usually one for writing reviews but felt the need to say what an amazingly positive experience my parents have received from Homewise. The concept is fantastic and my parents are so happy. They now live close to me in a lovely bungalow and I thank everyone at Homewise who have made this possible

Excellent service. Recommend as Kayla pointed out things we missed. Excellent service. We opted to travel by train to Portsmouth, and were met at the the station by Kayla. She escorted up around five properties. She was very friendly and helpful.

Collected on time and driven very safely around the narrow island lanes to view the properties selected for viewings. Perfectly planned timings so there was enough time to have a good inspection, considering how they could suit my requirements. Very helpful having another pair of eyes providing feedback. Great conversation and enjoyable day, including finding the right property to make a offer on.

I was accompanied on two separate occasions to view properties, on both occasions the homewise staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They offered excellent advice and helped with relevant and pertinent questions at each property. On the second occasion they were able secure a viewing of a property not on original itinerary.
