Than Linays deciced to take side of the landlord and dropped my case half way through and started to work for the landlord hence caused conflict of interest and left me in jeopardy. I found Linays to be lazy, condescending and dishonest. We eventually completed on our commercial property purchase, with no thanks to Linays, having to research and uncover all information about the property and area ourselves: Linays were completely uninterested in supplying any information at all. I have no idea if this is their general attitude or if they made some sort of judgement on us based on demographics. The entire process took almost a year, and in the final few days, Linays backtracked on the agreed purchase price - a price the seller himself had supplied - and we had to come up with an additional £10,000 or the entire sale would fall through. Linays took a gamble that we valued completing the purchase over taking an ethical stand, which probably pays off for them financially in the short-term. What they fail to consider is that someone buying a property today is someone selling a property tomorrow, and from the looks of the other reviews on here, nobody who has ever bought through Linays would touch them with a bargepole when it comes to selling. If anyone is investigating underhand practices within this organisation and is thinking of holding these people to account, please do get in touch. We'll be first in line to back you and supply you with our evidence. This type of behaviour has no place in modern society, and our area deserves better.... Read more

I agree with all the other reviewers, this agent does not return calls or keep buyers informed, they choose who to sell to and ignore all other buyers. When you chase up on your offer they do not respond until a few days later with a abrupt response that the property owners have accepted an alternative offer, they keep you out of the loop whilst progressing the sale to their own preferred buyer !!!... I have attempted to view three properties through this agent over a period of two years. They take my details and never get back to me! On one occasion they kept telling me they will arrange a viewing soon and when I kept chasing them up, I was then told that the property is gone off the market to another buyer. Frustrating is an understatement. My advice is to check out Hummerstone and Hawkins or Acorn Commercial.... Read more
