MayChild are a friendly, professional, kind and caring estate agent
Helen showed us around our new home. It was clear we were not a number or pound sign but people looking for a family home. Helen was patient, helpful and honest and listened to our needs.
They have been amazing from start to finish and continue assisting us with our new home.
MayChild is the only place you need to visit when looking for a place.
Even the team behind the scenes are excellent and helpful.

My experience with MayChild estate agency was absolutely horrendous. I can confidently say that it was the worst experience of my life. From the very beginning, they showed a complete lack of concern for their tenants' well-being and blatantly misled us.
Firstly, we had mice infestation issues in the house, and despite multiple complaints, MayChild did nothing to address the problem. It's unacceptable for an estate agency to neglect such a serious issue.
Additionally, they made false promises regarding the property's maintenance. They never sent anyone to clean the garden, even though it was clearly stated in the tenancy agreement. This neglectful attitude towards the property's upkeep is extremely disappointing.
But the biggest shock came when, four months after paying my rent for an entire year upfront, we received an email from the landlady/director of MayChild stating that nothing was included in the rent. This directly contradicted what was advertised and what we were told during viewings. It's deceitful and unfair to make tenants sign a contract that bears no resemblance to what they were promised.
Furthermore, when I raised concerns about the lack of a hoover to clean our rooms, MayChild either ignored my complaints or dismissed them without any proper resolution. Their claims that the existing hoover worked fine were simply false. It's evident that they had no regard for our needs or basic cleanliness standards.
To make matters worse, when my one-year lease ended, MayChild attempted to raise my rent, despite not having done so with any other tenant. This inconsistent treatment was unfair and unprofessional.
I strongly advise potential tenants to avoid MayChild estate agency at all costs. Their neglectful attitude, misleading practices, and outright lies have caused immense stress and inconvenience. I hope sharing my experience will help others make an informed decision and steer clear of this untrustworthy agency.

This is a house they let out
(Student Property). Hedge maybe gets trimmed once a year, house sticks out like a sore thumb. The hedge looks like it will shortly be entering the 1st floor bedroom!! Typical letting agent "let it, and forget it" Council comes by atleast 3-4 times a year taking pictures of the bins. I don't blame the landlord, I blame the agents. Shame Shame

MayChild have made renting out my property so easy and their customer service is incredible. I have previously rented a house from MayChild as a student where their customer service, fairness and ability to deal with questions quickly was very impressive.
When I wanted to let my first property, I knew I only wanted MayChild to manage the letting and wouldn’t trust anyone else to do so. Helen and Pam have both been fantastic from start to finish. Pam has managed the letting personally and she responds to emails straight away and gives honest and impartial advice, which is great for people renting out a property for the first time.
Their fees are extremely reasonable considering the level of customer service you receive. I genuinely cannot fault the service and overall offering that MayChild provide and would highly recommend them to anyone. Very rarely do you come across such a well-run, professional business that genuinely have their customer’s best interest at heart.
