Not recommended agency as I don't feel like they have my best interest as a priority. Bad communication in terms of the way they talk to you and also it is very hard to receive an answer from them. Sadly, I am a disappointed customer even if I like my place.

Our house has multiple issues, some that have been sorted after months of pestering and one's that have been going on since we first moved in. We would like to leave but we are settled and not in a position to deal with a move right now.

Where do I start with this company? Well firstly I have rented through them for around five years and really don't know why I put up with their antics and complete lack of professionalism. The first property I rented from them was a one bedroom apartment which in all fairness I could not fault, unfortunately the point came were I realised I needed a larger property and found one that nationwide had on the rental market, by the time I had seen the property I had already given notice on the previous, my new property was full of damp and mould but apparently to them was 'just cosmetic' and felt I had no option but to move in as a new tenant had applied for the old property. Upon leaving the property the lettings manager 'Danny' tried charging me an absolutely rediculous amount for forgetting to clean the oven and apparently leaving a handprint on the bathroom wall, now this I found to be completely laughable as I am a very houseproud person and the apartment was left immaculate in my opinion but obviously to 'patronising Danny' this wasn't the case even though the apartment I was moving into was filthy and full of damp as well as the mould which I have also plenty of pictures of and will be taking matters further after being made to feel I had no other option but to move in. When moving in, this is when the problems all started and so began the nightmare three years from hell. Firstly as previously stated in this review every window and corner had large amounts of mould and damp, also all the vertical silver blinds had mould all over them which I eventually had to take down and replace at my own expense as nationwide wouldn't ever contemplate replacing anything like that. I then had to replace all light fittings in the living room as these had burnt the ceiling and felt as though this was definitely a fire risk, I'd even got an electrician in who I knew to replace them and being a family friend he advised that they where in fact wired up incorrectly bit again this was done at my own expense as if I'd of spoke with nationwide they'd of taken months to get somebody to come have a look at the issue and also when you do speak to anyone there they are all patronising as well as repetitive too. I even spoke to 'Jane' on an oocasion telling her 'I felt as though this wasn't my home' which her reply was 'well it's not yours if your renting' now to me that is absolutely disgusting to know that even if you are only renting through Nationwide they will do their best to make it feel like you don't actually have a home and now that they deal with sales they'd rather do that than deal with lettings anymore obviously as they earn more money. Hopefully I will be in the position to buy soon and one things for sure I will never buy or sell a house through them either, my sister is actually selling hers through Nationwide and she doesn't think highly of them either at selling homes. I'd advise anyone to stay away and AVOID this company like the plague if your wanting to rent a property or sell one. Whilst living at Oxford Mews I also had to contend with no hot water for over six months and not just only on the one occasion but twice and Nationwide were no help what so ever and kept fobbing me off rather that getting it sorted, they was obviously busier with dealing with people who are buying a property or selling. Another thing they will do is keep hold of your deposit as long as possible just as you'd expect because they intentionally like to steal people's deposits so no matter how clean you leave your property or should I say 'Not your property' then expect not to receive your deposit back anytime soon after leaving any of their properties. Another thing I should add is the mould damage to my expensive clothes and furniture I have encountered which they should be compensating me for. All in all I am so happy now I am out the mould ridden property on Oxford Mews and now renting currently though a much more professional and experienced estate agents, where genuinely you get great customer service and made to feel like it's your home.

We enquired about a property at Seven Oaks area Chorley as it is only 10 minutes walk from our house and tried to arrange a viewing a couple weeks ago. The agent eventually called back and surprising brought her attitude with her once she knew were were trying to negotiate on the price! Its a shame this had happened as were very keen on buying the property. We will not be contacting Nationawide again and wish them the best of luck in selling his property! Hope the property owners are aware of the situation they are putting themselves into!

Superb Service from Nationwide! Ongoing issues at the property we rented from Nationwide with neighbours (No fault of Nationwide), but the owner of Nationwide really had our backs and worked hard on sorting this for us. The team are friendly and professional. We have rented a number of properties, and never had the personal touch before that I felt we got from Nationwide which is superb to experience when renting a property. Thanks to all the team at Nationwide, your hard work and dedication to making our stay comfortable is highly appreciated.

Nationwide assisted me and took away my stress when work commitments meant I needed to rent out my flat in Adlington. All the staff I have had dealings with have been very attentive and helpful and and have found 2 great tenants over the past 4 years. I definitely recommend them to anybody looking for friendly, personal service.

Julie and the sales team have just sold my property in Adlington. Cannot recommend them highly enough. They took care of all the viewings, even on a Sunday evening! The floorplan was great and very detailed. Nothing more frustrating than looking at a property on right-move without one. Thanks again guys and hope you enjoyed the chocolates!
