10th Jul 2026 (17 days ago)Although Flora and Adam were the estate agents acting for the seller rather than for us, they were both excellent throughout the entire process.<br><br>From the very beginning, Flora went above and beyond. She was incredibly responsive, listened carefully to what we were looking for, and contacted us straight away when a property that perfectly matched our needs became available. Once we found our dream home, she did everything she could to help us get into a position to secure it. Her communication was exceptional—keeping us informed at every stage, arranging additional viewings, answering all our questions, and demonstrating impeccable professionalism and attention to detail throughout.<br><br>When the chain slowed down, Flora continued to do everything she could to help move things forward, putting in far more effort than we would ever have expected from an agent representing the seller. Adam was also a pleasure to deal with—professional, responsive, and always helpful whenever we spoke with him.<br><br>Together, they made what could have been a very stressful process much easier. We are incredibly grateful for all their support and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, with special thanks to Flora for her exceptional dedication and care.

They gave me good advice, kept me informed every step of the way, answered emails promptly, and worked hard at marketing a property that wasn't the easiest to sell. They were always kind and courteous, and dealt skilfully with potential buyers. Highly recommended.

Additionally they are not respecting my contract terms and trying to overcharge me for the end of the tenancy. I have had to hire lawyers to avoid them abusing other more vulnerable tenants
24th Jul 2026 (3 days ago)If we could give these people negative stars, we would. They are THE worst company I have ever encountered. My husband and I both work in real estate and to see these people in business is a joke. They have been double charging for management fees without any explanation and without notice. They don't answer emails or phone calls, their turnover of staff is constant so you can't get answers from anyone. NOT RECOMMENDED

Tom and Nick were great right from the start when the house went on the market, and then when the house was sold, Janice and Erica helped to make the process as smooth as possible. We all know that selling/buying a property is very stressful but when you are being guided by true professionals, it definitely makes it easier. 19th Jul 2026 (8 days ago)WARNING to all rental tenants. Beware! This company do not vet their landlords or care for tenants welfare, I’d strongly advise you steer clear.<br><br>They lumbered me with a psychotic landlord, and Instead of dealing with their own dispute with her, left me to deal with an ugly situation they caused in the first place.<br><br>I had to move out just to get away from an unhinged landlord who was constantly harassing me, and Portico did not step in to help me with any of it. The episode caused me and my family untold distress, affected my mental wellbeing and cost me a fortune.<br><br>I spoke to the so-called 'manager' about it and all he cared about was grabbing a tidy profit from the situation. Even the staff said the landlord was 'trouble' but i'm the one that took the hit.<br><br>Don't listen to the positive reviews, if things go wrong they will leave you high n dry.<br>Bad people, bad company, don't grace them with your custom, save yourself and go elsewhere.

27th Jan 2026 (5 mo. ago)If I could give no stars I would. Will, who said he was the manager of the two Hackney branches, really could not manage a rice pudding. He was enthusiastic until the sale was agreed and then didn't want to bother with any communicating thereafter. He gave the clear impression that he just needed to sit back, do nothing more and wait for the commission to role. He gave clear indications that he did not have time to try and help progress the sale because he was too busy trying to make other property sales. I came away with the definite idea that Dexters work on agreeing as many sales as they possibly can and then do nothing thereafter and keep their fingers crossed that the sale completes. They work on quantity of sales and not quality of service. What Will does not take into account is that buying and selling is very stressful for the buyers and sellers and part of the agents job should be to be very active in progressing the sale and keeping in communication with other agents and the buyers and sellers until the sale is complete. Avoid listing your property for sale with Dexters to avoid disappointment.

It ended up being a challenging transaction (for reasons beyond their control) and they did a great job of following up issues and pushing for the sale to complete in a timely manner. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

In the starting they took care of everything but when they rented out the property they don't even bother about the problem which tenants are facing in the property. Not going to recommend at all. They also deduct our deposit without giving us a single proof. And they refund our rest of the deposit after 2 months and long arguments. The service for entire year was awful.

They also pushed me to view a place I’d have scrolled straight past, which ended up being one I seriously considered. Patient and genuinely on your side - highly recommend - Leon and Stan have been brilliant.

The images to support my sale were some of the best I've ever seen, with additional video and drone images of the area. His narrative to describe my home was engaging not just a bland description of a room. He understood that you are not just selling a property but a lifestyle. I cannot rate him high enough.

It hasn't always been straightforward but he has been reliable, consistent and great with communication and dealing with the needs of the buyer and myself as the seller.
