Truly awful. Don't rent the 3 bed penthouse at Atlantic wharf. Took months to fix the smell of sewage after we moved in, floor collapsed after a year, charged us full rent while they did the most basic, cheapest possible repairs. Owner and staff will avoid you at every step, or deny the problem. Good luck getting your deposit back. Poor quality fittings and fixtures in all their "refurbished" apartments which constantly break. Repairs are temporary patches. Draughts blowing through the flat at winter so you need portable heaters everywhere. Pretty sure the landlord wasn't told of any of this. Day porter on site at the block is also an idiot and damaged our belongings with a botched dye test. Probably the worst experience of my years renting in London. Reach me if you want more details. I booked an appointment to view an outdated flat, crying for refurbishing in Wapping at 6pm. One of the last flat in London with a carpeted bathroom (but no carpet on the loo), so 90ies! I arrived et 5.50pm, the office was closed. I waited 15 minutes then I walked to the property. There was nobody and at 6.20pm I went home They are terribly unprofessional and if I was a landlord I would avoid them. As a tenant it is more difficult, but I rather avoid them as well as I avoid Foxtons.... Read more

I had a great experience with Phoenix. I have changed 10 apartments in 3 years in Manchester and then London so I am quite experienced with agencies. Worst company ever to deal with. It took the best part of 3 months to get a sniff of our deposit back. Chased on a near daily basis, each time it was somebody else's fault, "The clerk hasn't submitted the report", "The accounts lady is on holiday". If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Make sure you know your rights before you deal with these cowboys. ... Read more
