20th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I have now worked with Strutt and Parker twice, first when purchasing my home last year and more recently when selling a family property. On both occasions, the team was exceptionally personable, supportive and attentive. They consistently went above and beyond, never making anything feel like too much trouble. Selling the family home was particularly emotional and throughout the process, the team demonstrated genuine kindness and understanding, which made an otherwise difficult experience much more manageable. Every member of the team played a part in the sale. It felt like working with an extension of the family as they all knew who I was and were able to assist promptly and effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend Strutt and Parker to anyone seeking an efficient, effective, supportive and compassionate estate agent in Edinburgh.

30th Jul 2026 (7 weeks ago)This is the third time we have used the services of Cullen Kilshaw to sell a property successfully.<br>In our recent sale we used the Peebles office for the first time. Both Morag and Imogen were professional, helpful and friendly. A special mention to Imogen who kept in touch with us every step of the way and was very supportive. The cost of the services was very competitive and our sale was again successful in a very short period of time<br>Highly recommend and will be using again in the future.
2nd Sep 2025 (1 year ago)I previously had dealings with Fraser Brooks during our property purchase, as they were representing the sellers. Although they were not acting on my behalf, I found the experience with them to be disappointing. Communication was often curt and, at times, came across as rude, which made an already stressful process much more difficult. From my perspective, the level of professionalism fell short of what I would expect from a firm of solicitors. While they may have fulfilled their role for their own clients, the manner in which they engaged with others involved in the transaction was poor and unhelpful. A prime example of this lack of professionalism is when I went to collect my keys. I had purposely gone after the lunch hour to avoid waiting about (the office is in city centre so parking is a nightmare) as I had been told multiple times lunch was 12-1. I was waiting outside the office for 25 minutes. Tried to phone them multiple times. No response. After 25 minutes at 13:25 the gentleman came strolling back in. No apologies for being late or keeping me waiting. When I queried about why he had been so late to return back to work he proceeded to become stand offish and rude. Based on my experience, I would not feel confident recommending this firm

From my first meeting with Lewis Hunter and my early contact with Suzie Steenkamp, I felt completely at ease and confident moving forward. A special mention goes to Rhonda Gunn, my Property Sales Negotiator, who was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. She communicated with me quickly and consistently—often daily—and always kept me fully updated. Thanks to the team’s hard work, I had a high number of viewings and even received an early offer. A huge thank you to the whole Neilson’s team for making the experience smooth, supportive, and successful.

Stephen provided such an excellent personal service - right from the initial marketing to completion of the sale. He kept me informed throughout and provided very helpful advice. It felt very different from dealing with a large corporate agency as I’ve done in the past and I would not hesitate to recommend Cullerton’s.

Alice was friendly , professional and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. Alice was very knowledgeable and kept us right with the various requirements to let a property. All of our questions or queries were answered promptly with great communication through regular updates on tenancy applications. It has been a pleasure dealing with Alice and we would recommend others to use Paton & Co in the future. A massive thank you!

7th Sep 2026 (7 days ago)We were hoping for a quick sale but to not compromise on the value of the property in doing so.<br>REMAX and Carol in particular did not let us down. Everything was explained clearly from the start. Great advice was given in preparing the house for the market. Then Carol took on the viewings too, so we could head out and relax knowing it was in safe hands.<br>The property sold at a very fair price both for us as the vendors and for the couple and small family who will take up residence soon.<br>It was important for us that the home got a continued love and investment. After all we’d been in there for almost 20 years!<br>A fantastic experience working with REMAX Linlithgow and highly recommend them for both buying and selling your property.

19th Aug 2026 (26 days ago)Having sold seven houses in the past, I found my experience with Niksen to be underwhelming and somewhat average. Although far from terrible, there where a number of disappointments throughout the process. First off, the quoted prices for the photographer and Home Report turned out to be different. Hardly earth-shattering, but an annoying detail that ended up costing me slightly more than expected. The presentation of images and copy I’d say was average, but not as good as other high-end estate agents that I’ve used previously. When it came to selling, the accompanied viewings are a plus point, but I hadn’t expected a running commentary from the estate agent on who they thought should or should not have the property. Surely that’s for me to decide and not the agent. Very unprofessional I thought. Once I’d accepted the offer I heard next to nothing from Niksen. My solicitor worked extremely hard (for far less money than Niksen’s fee it should be noted) to ensure a smooth sale. Previously, I’ve used agents that provide a weekly update with how the sale progressed, but there was nothing for about six weeks from Niksen. In fairness, when I did contact them, they did investigate and chase up the sale, but I felt I shouldn’t have to chase them up myself. Oddly, a week after the sale had completed, Niksen contacted me to ask how the sale was progressing! I checked with my solicitor and he’d paid them already, so it appears they could do with some better internal coms between accounts and sales. What’s worse, for weeks afterwards they’ve pestered me via email, WhatsApp and phone for feedback. So here it is. Not terrible, but a very average experience.
